Flo-Po Meet-ups during Nov-Dec

Hello Poetry Peeps, FloPo's next MONTHLY DROP-in POETRY SHARE is Nov 13 Florence Poets Society's regular IN-PERSON meeting is the  2nd Thursday of the month.  It's held at the  Lilly Library in Florence Mass.   Maybe go to nearby Cooper's, get yourself a snack, and then come over to the Lilly Library to meet up with some companionable poets and writers. Each person shares one poem around a table. Soft workshop and share. You do not have to be a member to attend. If you have access to a printer, please bring about 10 copies of your poem to share, and if that's not possible, no worries.  The meeting lasts until a few minutes before 9pm.   Thurs. Wow - what a great turnout at the Invisible Fountain

Such a big THANK YOU to everyone who came to support the Center for New Americans at POETRY SUNDAY. The readers, the volunteers, everyone! Special thanks to Luke Cavagnac of the Invisible Fountain and to MC extraordinaire, Anita Gallers, and to Linda Wlokyka, who contributed so much so we could have yummy snacks (and then got a bad cold and couldn't attend!). Special thanks to Ed Hazel, farmer-helper who helped truck the chairs, to Carole Anzovin who baked pumpkin somethings that were amazing. Grateful to ALL the readers! And a special shout out to Amie Hyson, who took some amazing photos, which you can find on the Florence Poets FB account and on her page. Check them out and have fun remembering the day. NOV 9th - POETRY SUNDAY at the Invisible Fountain

A showcase of local poets reading poetry - in support of the Center for New Americans. Florence Poets Society sponsors, POETRY SUNDAY, a November 9th poetry event with a showcase of local poets reading poetry (and supporting CNAM). Drop in Sunday afternoon Nov. 9th for poetry, art, snacks & more.  Featured readers include: Carole Anzovin, Dinah Kudatsky, Stephanie Shafran, Linda Bratcher Wlodyka, Lee Desrosiers, Jane Johnson, Anita Gallers, Ernie Brill, Gerry Yelle and many more! Sunday, November 9th from 2:30 - 4:30pm at the amazing Invisible Fountain, at the Eastwards complex, (West entrance) which is 116 Pleasant Street in Easthampton. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, suite 206 and notice the amazing paintings and the sense of joy and stay for an afternoon of poetry.

We're back IN-PERSON at Lilly Library OCT 9th

Thurs., October 9th we'll meet up at the Lilly Library in Florence Mass. @7pm but come early at 6:30pm if you'd like to mingle, share news and hear about a potential reading opportunity coming up in November. Anita will join us and lead a brief discussion about tying in a reading to 30 Poems in November, which is a fundraiser for Center For New Americans (lots of FloPo-ers are signed up). Then, we'll share poetry. Bring one poem to share. All are invited - you do not have to be a member of Florence Poets Society to participate. Each month we have two opportunities to connect. The in-person meeting is the 2nd Thursday and the zoom connection is the 4th Thursday. Email florencepoets @ gmail.com to find out more.

Florence Poets ZOOM Meet-up Sept 25th at 6:30pm -You're Invited!

If you missed the email reminder, here's a heads-up.... FloPo ZOOM meetings resume this Thursday, 9/25, at 6:30 pm.   FloPo zoom meetings are open to all and deliberately scheduled so as not to compete with the in-person meetings. Let’s gather at 6:30 with just a brief period for announcements + zoom shmoozing:)   We begin sharing poetry at 6:45pm.  Please bring one (1) poem to share.
