Florence Poets Society

It's been a long winter but we're in mud season now, and the air is starting to warm up and the birds are back...so how about meeting up at the Lilly library in Florence Mass.? EVERY 2nd Thursday we meet up and share poetry. You do NOT need to be a member! If you have a poem to share, come on down. We gather beginning at 6:30pm and the reading begins at 7:00pm

Hello poets! Normally our monthly Florence Poets Zoom meeting happens on the 4th Thursday of the month, but this month we need to move the date due to a conflict, so we'll be meeting instead on the 3rd Thursday, 3/19. If you are receiving the FloPo reminders you'll receive a reminder with the zoom link closer to the date so mark your calendars! AND if you are not on the email listing and would like to be, email FlorencePoets@gmail (dot com) and we'll get you connected.  Thank you to all who made poetry submissions to Silkworm.  Silkworm, the annual of the Florence Poets Society, is an amazing publication featuring poets from around the globe. Don't miss your chance to submit. Submissions close March 9, 2026 at 5pm. This year's theme is: BRIDGE and whether you write about a particular bridge, a metaphorical bridge or something 'bridge adjacent,' do send along a poem. We look forward to reading your words!
