Florence Poets Society

A showcase of local poets reading poetry - in support of the Center for New Americans. Florence Poets Society sponsors, POETRY SUNDAY, a November 9th poetry event with a showcase of local poets reading poetry (and supporting CNAM). Drop in Sunday afternoon Nov. 9th for poetry, art, snacks & more.  Featured readers include: Carole Anzovin, Dinah Kudatsky, Stephanie Shafran, Linda Bratcher Wlodyka, Lee Desrosiers, Jane Johnson, Anita Gallers, Ernie Brill, Gerry Yelle and many more! Sunday, November 9th from 2:30 - 4:30pm at the amazing Invisible Fountain, at the Eastwards complex, (West entrance) which is 116 Pleasant Street in Easthampton. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, suite 206 and notice the amazing paintings and the sense of joy and stay for an afternoon of poetry.  

Thurs., October 9th we'll meet up at the Lilly Library in Florence Mass. @7pm but come early at 6:30pm if you'd like to mingle, share news and hear about a potential reading opportunity coming up in November. Anita will join us and lead a brief discussion about tying in a reading to 30 Poems in November, which is a fundraiser for Center For New Americans (lots of FloPo-ers are signed up). Then, we'll share poetry. Bring one poem to share. All are invited - you do not have to be a member of Florence Poets Society to participate. Each month we have two opportunities to connect. The in-person meeting is the 2nd Thursday and the zoom connection is the 4th Thursday. Email florencepoets @ gmail.com to find out more.
