Florence Poets Society's regular  IN-PERSON  meet-up to workshop poetry is the  2nd Thursday of the month. AND YES, we're still gathering.  The meet-up is held at the  Lilly Library in Florence Mass.  Each person shares one poem around a table. It's a soft workshop-share and it's  a companionable, friendly, and fun group. TOTALLY DROP-IN!  Y ou do not have to be a member to attend!  If you have access to a printer, please bring about 10 copies of your poem to share, and if that's  not  possible, no worries!  The meeting typically lasts until about 8:45pm. PLEASE NOTE: if you have mobility issues, please know that due to the concert in the park there will be limited parking. It's been a long winter but we're in mud season now, and the air is starting to warm up and the birds are back...so how about meeting up at the Lilly library in Florence Mass.? EVERY 2nd Thursday we meet up and share poetry. You do NOT need to be a member! If you have a poem to share, come on down. We gather beginning at 6:30pm and the reading begins at 7:00pm

Normally our monthly Florence Poets Zoom meeting happens on the 4th Thursday of the month, but this month we need to move the date due to a conflict, so we'll be meeting instead on the 3rd Thursday, 3/19.  Silkworm, the annual of the Florence Poets Society, is an amazing publication featuring poets from around the globe. Don't miss your chance to submit. Submissions close March 9, 2026 at 5pm. This year's theme is: BRIDGE and whether you write about a particular bridge, a metaphorical bridge or something 'bridge adjacent,' do send along a poem. We look forward to reading your words! Silkworm 19  OPENS for submissions February 1, 2026.  SILKWORM 19 announces the theme "BRIDGE." What metaphorical bridges do you know and what bridges have claimed you as home?  Silkworm, the annual review of the Florence Poets Society, has been around almost 20 years. Silkworm 19 (will open for subs February 1, 2026). Look for details on the  Silkworm page. Email florencepoets (@gmail.com)  with any questions or to request a press release with all the submission details. This year's theme is "Bridge,” but everything is connected to everything else, right?
